Our second day on the island consisted of lots of snorkeling, hunting for turtles ( which isnt really a hunt when they are EVERYWHERE) and various undersea creatures. We went to a nearby beach and saw a lot of cool stuff, me not being an expert on undersea creatures i had no idea what any of these fish were called. So i did what any 21st century man who has been exposed to one to many disney movies and is addicted to media would do..........i associated the fish with characters from corresponding disney/pixar movies. So i wold be down there, and i would see a fish and think to myself "oh hey theres Gill!!!" hahahaha movies have ruined me i tell ya, sadly i found no sign of dory, or marlin, but along with Gill i did find Bubbles (yellow tang) and of course Crush the turtle and plenty of his friends. So anywho, had a little bit better luck this time with some clearer waters but as was to be the norm for the rest of this trip, conditions changed quickly. All i could do was shoot as much as possible, learn from my many mistakes, and make the best of the situation. After a long day of snorkeling it was time for dinner and dessert, i cant remember where we ate on day 2 but i know that we went to get shaved ice afterwards. So having gotten shaved ice on on Kauai and being used to the large size being a reasonable portion that 2 people could share we thought that this place would be no different......yeah WRONG!!!! Jen and I ordered the large shaved ice and instead of getting a nice sized portion for 2 people we where given something along the lines of.....oh i dont know.....the planet jupiter. Seriosuly!!!! This thing was MASSIVE!!! No joke it had its own gravitational pull, im serious!!! Other smaller shaved ice in the vicinity where beginning to be drawn into orbit of ours.......ok ok im exaggerating just a little but seriously it was huge.
P.S.
To those of you reading and thinking "lorenzo whats up with the crappy pictures?" i realize that many of these underwater photos are less than stellar, i dont profess to be the best at it or any good at this point. Bear with me i promise that the photos will continue to improve as the posts progress. Its all been a new realm for me and a huge learning experience, i will admit that i was unprepared for the incredible amount of patience that it requires and the sheer difficulty of it and how incredibly exhausting it is. So with the said heres some photos.....
