And finally some rain...

Well it was more of a drizzle than actual rain, but it was still fun to see the ground all wet. I love rain, and the smell that comes from everything being wet........everything smells so clean. So I went out today and well it was in the front yard (I know im getting all the mileage I can out of that thing......dont fret though I will soon have pictures of a newer location) the tree has had diarrhea and dumped all these leaves on the grass. Not only that but I think that something ate a bird last night, cus there was all these white feathers on the grass as well. Sucks to be the bird but good to be me cus it made for some fun shots......so here they are. Enjoy!!

Uncie ZO...

While my being an uncle is not new news i dont get to see my nephew as often as i would like. My sister her boyfriend and her son stopped to visit today, it was fun to see them and of course my nephew is a riot. Hes 2 years old and is FULL of energy, took him a little while to get comfortable but eventually he did and i decided to grab my gear and do some shooting. We didnt have a lot of time so the front yard was going to be our location, it was so much fun. Taking pictures of kids can be pretty challenging since they move around so much, but its a blast when you can catch those cool moments when they are just themsleves. About the only complaint that i have is that i have noticed that i have been shooting TONS of vertical shots........i have no clue why that is but it kind of disturbs me. Oh well....ive made a mental note and hope to work on it more. Heres some pics from today, enjoy. Shalom.

Fun in the front yard...

So i went to get the mail and on my way to the mailbox i looked to my right, the sun was going down and upon the leaves of this tree there was this nice golden light. With Fall now here ( you wouldnt know it with this hot weather) the leaves have turned to a nice gold and red, i quickly ran into the house and grabbed my gear. Heres some pics hope you like em. Shalom.

Sunday was a busy day....

Thats right, after dinner at the rents house i came home relaxed for a bit and then somewhere around midnight or one in the A.M. i signed on to IM. My homie Mike Baca came online and the question was asked "when are we going shooting?" so i asked "what are you doing right now?" and so it came to be that the dynamic duo ventured forth in search of night time photos. Our 1st stop was right here in Vista at the bus station, i only got one picture that i liked.

But there was just way to much light around to get anything that was really cool, so our second stop was down at the beach. Holy crap the moon was bright!!! I couldnt believe how much light was out there, we got some cool images. As soon as Mike gets off his butt and post his photos then i will put a link on here to his page. We had a blast and were out there until like 2:30 or so, i got home and was up a little longer passed out at about 4 am cus i was so exhausted. Mike, we have to go out again soon brotha, well thats all the post for now. Come back soon and check for more updates as i will be going on a little road trip up to SF and hope to have a lot of images to put up. Until next time, Shalom.

one last shot:

i know.........tacky but its still a fun shot.

The day wasnt over yet...

Yes after the street fair, i went down to the beach and watched an amazing sunset. While im not a huge fan of sunsets because they are photographed all the time, i cant deny that this one was amazing and i had a blast capturing it...........i cant believe that this is what i do for a living now.

On the way back home the moon was coming up so i go a quick picture of it, unfortunately it looks more like the sun than the moon.

And now the Cbad Street fair...

Sunday was a good day, got to go to breakfast with my wife before she flew out to Seattle and after we were done with breakfast she dropped me off in Carlsbad. The street fair was going on so i decided to try and get some photos, plus there was family that i dont get to see very often in town and they setup a booth for the fair, so i decided to visit. The fair was a lot of fun and it was cahllenging for me, street shooting is not the normal thing i do so i was a little out of my element. Its good to strech yourself though, i got a few good shots but not as much as i was hoping to get........but there is always next year. About the only complaint that i have about the fair is that i kept getting approached by these Hari Krishna guys........these guys are like pests. You know the ones that fly around your head won tleave you alone but you cant seem to get rid of of it no matter how hard you try!!!! And if you do happen to hit the stupid fly its not dead.........ooooooh nooooo!!! All you did was break off a limb and piss it off, soon it calls its buddies and you have a swarm around you and you feel like a freaking moose from the discovery channel that has all those flies around his head!!! So yeah Krishna guys i had lke 5 of them come up to me trying to give me books on Yoga and some other crap that i kept saying no to. Oh but they dont give up and the kicker was that they would go through this speech give you a book and say "take this for free as a gift" you say thank you and walk away. Conversation over right? WRONG!!!! " oh but we do take donations to cover expenses" "oh sorry brotha i dont have any cash on me" and here comes the best part "NOT EVEN 50 CENTS!!!" and he takes the book back!!!!! I was like what the?!!!!! After the 3rd guy the day came up to me i was ready to kill someone, and all i could do whenever they talked to me was i magine that i was performing a fatality and played shaolin soccer with their head!!! OK ive vented heres some photos.

So now i end this post with this image, it wouldnt be a mass gathering of people without a mullet roaming the streets. While not as grand a specimen as some of the ones that my friend Blaine has been able to capture, its not a bad pelt for the wall for my 1st attempt.

Gotta play catchup now...

So i have been shooting a lot lately and havent had time to post anything new and am laggin on posting anything. So now here i am catching up, so get ready cus there will be 3 more posts after this one. So last Thursday i had a photo session with the Browns (see post below) when i was done shooting them............hmmmmm that sounds so wrong. How about when the session was over, yes i like that better. So ya when the session was over i stuck around and snapped a few photos as the sun was going down, nothing spectacular but it was still fun. The last few days have been amazing, i dont think that i have had so much fun in a long time, the only thing that would make it better would be to have my wife here. Shes in Seattle for some work training and i miss her.

An afternoon with the Browns...

Yesterday afternoon i had the priviledge to do a family portrait for Chris Brown and his wife Amy. What a fun family!!! their just so out going and they have the cutest funnest kids ever, the shoot was a blast. In the process of shooting i got my shoes soaked, it was pretty funny albeit my shoes are all gross now. Oh well, i guess thats just the price you pay for having such a fun job..............im willing to pay it. We were a little concerned about the weather since it had been so cold in the afternoon the day before, but the Lord is good and gave us a beautiful afternoon. Heres some photos from the shoot, enjoy. Shalom.
